Nytt Rom

For “Issue 59,” Norwegian design and lifestyle magazine NYTT ROM visits a project by Kjær Architecture. Nestled in the heart of Frederiksberg, the project is the refurbishment of a private residence, originally built in 1886, as a live-work studio for small-scale, artisanal production. For this project, Kjær restored the straightforward style of the building, celebrating the clean lines of the original house and creating a restful backdrop for the both garden spaces outside and the living spaces within. The end result is a peaceful, urban oasis, with an unmistakably Danish approach to simplicity and design.
